Our Story
I’ve always been the one in my group of friends to push my 1992 Honda Fourtrax 300 to its limits, charging through the deepest mud holes, ponds, and swamps. Of course, I was also the first one to get towed back to the trailer due to engine failure!
Fed up with constant engine repairs, I decided to take matters into my own hands. In 2002, I designed my very first snorkel system for my Fourtrax. I began by relocating the factory air intake by routing pipes and elbows from the airbox to above the handlebars. I also extended the factory vent lines, which connected to the carburetor, differentials, brakes, and engine case. After sealing everything up tight, I was finally able to ride through deep mud and water without the engine stalling.
As time went on, I felt the need for something new. I sold my Fourtrax and bought a 2002 Honda 400EX. While the thrill of jumping hills and going fast was exciting, my true passion was riding through mud and water. Realizing the 400EX wasn’t suited for this style of riding, I sold it and returned to the trusty Honda Fourtrax 300—and that’s when everything changed.
I watched countless riders destroy their engines and belts from deep mud and water, and I knew there was a growing demand for reliable ATV & UTV Snorkel Kits. So, in the summer of 2007, I founded Extreme Snorkels. I designed and launched the first-ever Polaris RZR 800 Snorkel Kit, which was an instant success.
While it's certainly cheaper to gather all the necessary parts and DIY a snorkel, why go through the hassle of multiple trips to various stores when you can get a complete kit with everything you need, delivered straight to your door?
By late 2010, I realized that snorkels were just the beginning. To better serve our customers, I began collaborating with other top-tier ATV and UTV companies that offered products I couldn’t produce, such as audio systems, axles, lift kits, tires, and wheels. To accommodate the growing number of products and customers, I revamped our website with a fully integrated shopping cart system, which you can explore today.
